Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves” was the first single from Cher’s 1971 self-titled album Cher. The album was subsequently renamed and re-released as Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves after the success of the single. The song was written by songwriter Bob Stone as a story-song called “Gypsys, Tramps and White Trash.

Amsterdam’s version fairly rocks along and is more in the spirit of the Clash and The Stranglers than the original.

The next full Amsterdam show will be at the famous Half Moon Venue in the capital city. The show also coincides with founder member Johnny Barlow’s 40th Birthday celebrations so we’re all looking forward to a rocking night.
The band will play as a 7 piece carnival on the night. Tickets are on sale now from the venue itself of from:

This show will be a full 7 piece extravaganza at the Raise your Banners Festival in Bradford, Yorkshire.
Tickets are available right now so come and celebrate the last show of the year with the gang. This politically tinged event has been described as ‘right up Amsterdam’s street’ and the gang are thrilled to be playing. Tickets and all info is here:

Tickets are still left for the three shows which promise to be a spectacle of joy and inspiration.
