Amsterdam storm Glastonbury

A 7-piece Amsterdam played what Ian described as ‘probably the best show of my entire career’ on Sunday afternoon to a crowded Acoustica tent. The boys stormed through a 10-song set and finished with an impromptu Irsh dance from flute player Eimear.

The final song Name and number lasted for about 10 minutes as the band took the roof off the place.

Band blogs concerning the event will be online in the next few days. Photos can be seen at myspace.com/amsterdamhq (MySpace login required).

Ian to play special one-off show

Amsterdam lead singer Ian Prowse is to play a one off one man show at the Rodewald suite in Liverpool’s Philharmonic hall.

The evening is the first time ever that Ian has performed a full show alone and he promises an evening of songs spanning his entire career and ‘a chance to play some of the tunes I could never get away with in the bluster of a full scale Amsterdam show’.

The show is on Friday 18 of July and is almost sold out but some tickets are still available from liverpoolphil.com.
