Tickets for the UK’s best live bands first show of 2006 are now available from Ticketweb and Seetickets.

The show is at the famous Carling Academy in Liverpool on Saturday 11 February and it promises to be one of those special nights that only Amsterdam can deliver.

It has been the most-successful year yet for the band – let Ian, Paulie and Dr Kev talk you through 2005 in the the annual end-of-year interview.

Finally, for those of you interested in such things, the little Russian girl who appeared on the front of Amsterdam’s debut album The Journey this year has now grown up into a brilliant abstract modern artist. You can view her work at www.myspace.com/synchronicitykat.

The boys have been especially asked by Miles Hunt from The Wonder Stuff to accompany the 90s indie heroes on a twelve-date tour of the UK.

The Wonder Stuff will be out promoting there new album and are huge Amsterdam fans so it should be a very exciting jaunt around the country!

Because the tour doesn’t call in to Liverpool, Amsterdam will be doing their own headlining show at the Carling Academy on Saturday 11 February.

The boys hit the Isle of Man on Thursday for two highly-anticipated shows before returning to Liverpool on Saturday for a huge knees-up as special guests of Ian McNabb at his big Christmas show at the Carling Academy.

Amsterdam will hit the stage at 8:30pm promptly so anyone wishing to catch the lads should get in the venue early. Tickets are still available from TicketWeb and you will be able to pay on the night.

Amsterdam entered the glittery world of the award ceremony on Friday night when the boys were nominated for Best Music award at the annual Scouseology awards at the salubrious Crown Plaza hotel in Liverpool.

The gang lost out to China Crisis in the end – who apologised profusely to Ian later and said how much they loved the album!

Every scouser from Ken Dodd to Craig Charles to Ricky Tomlinson to Janice Long (who mentioned Amsterdam during her speech) was there for this major event in Merseyside life. Apparently Mr Prowse in a suit was a sight to behold.

The boys will also finish off this year with a short tour in December. The first Isle of Man show in Douglas is almost sold out for any of you who are going over to see the band.

Tickets for the other gigs which include the big Amsterdam Christmas party in central London at the famous Borderline club are on sale now.
