There will be two big show his coming festive season. Firstly by popular demand and because we were inundated with requests from those who couldn’t make the summer shows, Pele will perform ONE LAST TIME.

People who were busy with holidays or weddings will now have a final chance to relive the famed Pele show. The gig will take place on Saturday 5 December at the world’s most famous club, the Cavern. This will definitely be the last performance.

Also the mighty Amsterdam will perform as a full seven piece on NEW YEAR’S EVE at the Water Rats Theatre in London. The gang are very excited to be doing this show as Ian commented: “New year is always a big let down,well thank god it wont be this year, we’re planning a really special night!”.

Ian plays his favourite songs on the radio

Ian will be on City talk radio this Monday afternoon for an hour at 2:00pm playing his favourite-ever songs and talking over his favourite films and books. Listen online at whatson.com/citytalk/.

Amsterdam will take to the age at 9:45 on Tuesday night as part of the working class music festival in Liverpool.

Amsterdam will play an early evening FREE show at the South:Central Festival in Sutton, South London on Friday 4 September.

Sutton’s SouthCENTRAL:Festival (4-6 September, Sutton High Street, South London) has pulled in a cracking line-up. For a free event the festival is punching well above its weight, and why would you want to be anywhere else except Millennium Square for three days of exceptional live music – with the added bonus of an open-air bar.

Amsterdam to play festival of radical song

The full Amsterdam line up returns to the stage this September with a show for the Working Class Music Festival which takes place to celebrate the TUC having their annual conference in the city’s brand new arena.

The festival is a riot of song and appreciation of the long struggle undertaken by working people to secure decent lives down the centuries.

The gig is on Tuesday 15 September at the New Picket near the Echo Arena. All information and tickets for the show is available at workingclassmusic.org.uk.

Support comes from the magnificent English folk singer/guitarist Phil Hare who has been a big influence on Ian down the years. Local band the Trestles will also be adding to the quality evening.

Ian will be promoting the show and the festival this Saturday morning on Billy Butler’s radio show at 11am on BBC Radio Merseyside.
