Tsunami show postponed

Unfortuantly the people who organised the Tsunami show this Friday with Kathryn Williams and Eliza Carthy in Liverpool have postponed it and moved the gig back to September, sorry for any inconvenience this has caused, it is out of our hand we are afraid.

Ian jets off to Turkey tomorrow morning at 5:15am along with some other specially selected Merseyside musicians to perform a 30-minute set for fans at the Champions’ League final. Keep checking the site for Ian’s report on this.

Does This Train Stop in Istanbul?

Ian has been specially invited – along with some other Merseyside musicians – to perform for fans at the Champions League final in Istanbul on Wednesday night.

Now is also the time to order your copy of Does This Train Stop on Merseyside if you haven’t already.

Information regarding the download version of the song will be available soon, but in the meantime make sure you pre-order online from Townsend or HMV.

Liverpool single release weekend

Amsterdam will be all over Liverpool on the weekend of the release of Does This Train Stop on Merseyside?.

Firstly the boys have been specially asked to be rock and rolls only representatives at a Tsunami benefit show upstairs at Liverpools Carling Academy on Friday 27 May. This is the first time Amsterdam have ever appeard in the upstairs part of the venue and other performers on the night will be the famous folkies Kathryn Williams and Eliza Carthy as well as special guests. Tickets are on sale now from Ticketweb.

Then on Sunday night the 29th the boys will be doing a live acoustic show from Liverpool’s trendy KCR radio station at 9.00pm. The good news is you can listen online at www.KCR1067.com.

Tour half way point

The Amsterdam tour hits the half way stage tonight at the band’s first-ever Manchester headline show at the Life Cafe. So far the gang have had an absolutly electrifying evening in Liverpool followed by two great gigs in Preston and Wolverhampton.

Rarities played so far include Love Phenomenon and even The Pain of a Drinking Song, so anything could happen on this tour.

Next up is Bristol and then the big one in London Garage on Friday night followed by a trip to Southampton to end the tour on Sunday.

Make sure that you read Ian’s latest tour diary in the forum.
