The support slots for the big Liverpool gig in March have now been announced. Paul Hagan’s new band the Last Gambados will kick off the evening’s proceedings. Paul did five years great service in Amsterdam and is looking forward to meeting up with some old friends and playing his new music to the Amsterdamsters.

Main support will come from the Kevin Critchely outfit who released their debut album last year to critical praise.

The glorious return of Amsterdam

The full Amsterdam SEVEN piece spectacular will return to the stage in March 2010 with two shows already confirmed.

The first show is at fantastic London venue the Luminaire on Saturday 13 March with another the week after at Liverpool spiritual home the O2 Academy on Saturday 20 March. One or two other shows are now being considered.

Following the wrapping up of the final Pele reunion date Ian is chomping at the bit to get back to playing new music. “I enjoyed myself doing those few shows with my old band and I really cant wait for the full Amsterdam ensemble to tackle a couple of those older songs – Policeman will sound unreal with the seven of us.

But the most important thing by a mile is Amsterdam music and especially the new stuff which is sounding fantastic, it seems we really know what we’re doing these days. I cant wait”.

Tickets for the shows are on sale right now, for the Luminaire at wegottickets.com and ticketweb.co.uk and for Liverpool at ticketweb.co.uk.
