Album tour announced

The sensational live Amsterdam show will hit the road to play a short tour promoting the up-and-coming debut album in early May.

Apart from the already announced two big Beat Crazy records shows in Liverpool and London the boys will also be returning to Wolverhampton (after their crazy night supporting the Wonderstuff recently).

Then the gang hit Manchester for their first ever headline show in the ‘other’ great Northern city.

Providing the local council don’t object to the runaway juggernaut that is the live Amsterdam experience the boys then make a welcome return to Bristol.

The London show is now going to filmed by the award-winning company Digital Snaeaker for a live DVD that will be released commercially later on in the year.

The band finish up down on the south coast, one more other date may be added in the next few days.

If you are coming to the album launch show in Liverpool you can also buy your tickets at the Radio city box office in St.Johns precinct or the Cavern pub opposite the Cavern itself NOW!

Matinee change and Amsterdam on Jonathon Ross!

The proposed afternoon show for under-18’s at the Liverpool Cavern club on May 7 will now NOT take place. Instead the boys are going to play two in-store shows the week of the single release in the Merseyside area and it will be FREE to everyone. Dates will be announced next week.

Sorry for anyone who has been inconvienienced by this. Of course the evening show that night of the 7 is full steam ahead. Support for the night comes from Ricky and The Prodigal Sons.

Anyone wishing to hear the next Amsterdam single should tune into the UK’s most popular radio programme on Saturday 8 April, where Jonthon Ross will be playing Does This Train Stop on Merseyside? on his famous BBC Radio 2 show that morning.

‘Merseyside’ release date change

Amsterdam’s second single Does This Train Stop on Merseyside? has now been put back a week to Monday 25 April due to radio station considerations.

The boys have now filmed a special DVD version for the single as one of the formats for the release. Last Tuesday Ian and Paulie visited most sites in Liverpool mentioned in the song to film a special collectors item DVD version of the song.

The gang did their last show supporting the Wonderstuff on Sunday night in Wolverhampton to another rapturous reception from Stuffies fans.

Those of you under 18 or who have kids who are Amsterdam fans keep your eye on the site, a very special Matinee show for those not old enough to attend Amsterdam gigs is about to be announced, of course adults can attend as well.

Tickets are now available for the special Beat Crazy nights to promote the debut album release in May. Tickets for the special event at the Famous Cavern club in Liverpool on Saturday 7 May are available from www.ticketline.co.uk and tickets for the bands biggest-ever headline show at the London Garage on Friday 13 May are available from www.seetickets.com right now.

Two special Beat Crazy nights!

Amsterdam will headline two very special Beat Crazy Records nights in May when the debut album is finally released.

The two shows are special events and will feature label mates Ricky as well as other Beat Crazy-affiliated bands.

The first event is to be at the world famous Cavern club on Mathew Street in Liverpool. The venue rarely has touring bands these days but as Ian put it ‘We couldn’t release a single with Mathew Street mentioned in it and not go and play there!’.

It’s also a glorious return to the club for the gang following a couple of sensational sell out show there two years ago. This show takes place on Saturday 7 May.

The following Friday the boys will be playing their biggest ever headlining show yet when they play at the famous Garage venue in Holloway at Highbury Corner.

This is the next step up from The Borderline and the whole night is going to be filmed for a live Beat crazy DVD to be released later on in the year. This show takes place on Friday 13 May.

Tickets information for both shows will appear here very shortly.

Don’t forget, there are also new photos from the January tour now live on the site.
