The Journey enters the UK top 40!

Champagne corks are popping at Amsterdam HQ following this afternoon’s announcement that The Journey entered the official UK single charts at number 32 and the indie singles chart at number 8.

The band would like to say a massive thank you to everybody that bought the single and to the fans that are turning out on force on the current UK tour. The journey really can begin now for Amsterdam!

The Journey is out today!

After what seems like the longest wait in recording history Amsterdam finally release their debut single The Journey today, Monday 24 January.

The song is a split-single with Beat Crazy label mates Ricky and is available in three formats: 7” vinyl, CD1, CD/DVD2. The DVD contains an hilarious drunken interview with the boys.

The boys will be performing a short acoustic set and signing copies of the single at the HMV on the Cheshire Oaks complex in Ellesmere Port at 5:00pm on release day.

Tour kicks off

Amsterdam’s first full-length UK tour got off to a blistering start last night in Camden, London, where the boys put on an extraordinary live show.

A rammed Barfly crowd were blown away as the band raced through a 13-song set including Lifestyle, Understanding Sadness and the welcome return of And It Hurts.

Don’t miss Ian’s tour diary in the forum for the full story behind the tour.

Tickets are still available for the other shows, too – make sure you don’t miss out!

Additional London date added to tour

The very first Beat Crazy tour will now end at the band’s spiritual home of the Borderline club in central London on Saturday 5 February. Everyone involved is hoping it will be a night of celebration. Again Ricky will be playing as well as the infamous The Garys. Tickets are available now from Seetickets.

The boys kick off the tour this Tuesday at the Barfly club in Camden.
