Amsterdam will unveil songs from the new album at a warm up show for this year’s Mathew street festival on Sunday 26 August.

Like last year the warm up will be at the Red Lion venue in Little Sutton, Ellesmere Port. Tickets will be just £5.

The day after on Monday 27 Amsterdam will play in the afternoon in Liverpool City Centre as part of the festival for the third year running. This performance is FREE to the general public.

Ian will feature on BBC Radio 5 Live’s this evening.

The Amsterdam frontman will be doing a live tour of Liverpool for Weekend News, between 8pm and 10pm. You can tune in online at www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/.

Ian, who is an old friend of the Picket venue in Liverpool, will play an acoustic set this Saturday 26 May.

Ian will be joined onstage by a couple of other guest musicians. Tickets are £5/£7 on the door. An evening BBQ starts at 7pm.

Laura Critchley, who has helped out the boys at the last two Mathew Street festivals, has her first single out on 21 May. The single is called Sometimes I and is available as a download on iTunes and a CD on Amazon.

Amsterdam would like to wish Laura all the luck in the world with her single and album.

The boys performed a one-off show in Scarborough last Friday. It was described by Ian as ‘one of those shows where we don’t know what we’re doing, yet immense fun’.

Amsterdam will make it a hat trick when they play at the Mathew Street festival again this year. The boys will be performing on the main stage on Monday afternoon the 27 of August.

The festival will take part in a different part of the city this year from the Pier head because of building work.

Amsterdam play there first full band show of the year this Friday at the Vivaz club in Scarborough. Tickets are available on the door.
