Tour finale in London

The band rounded off their first ever full-length UK tour last night in the capital at the Borderline.

With the assistance of spoonfuls of honey from Morgo, Ian made sure his suffering voice didn’t distract him and the band from the task of delivering another storming show to celebrate top 40 chart success.

Paulie began the gig by singing the call-to-arms intro from Takin’ on the World, and with the crowd happy to help out, it wasn’t long before the packed venue was in full party mode. The set included:

London celebration party this Saturday!

Amsterdam will be celebrating top 40 success this coming Saturday night at their spiritual London home of the Borderline club in Soho. This is the last show of the tour and a chance for everyone whose been supporting the band these last few years to have a big party!

Tickets are still available for the big night from SeeTickets or by telephoning 020 7534 6970 and reserving tickets. It may still be possible to pay on the door but we recommend you get there early, just incase.

Label mates Ricky are also playing as well as the infamous The Garys.

The very first Amsterdam merchandise will be available and that if anyone wants to have their The Journey CD sleeves signed, the boys will be by the Merchandise stall 10 minutes after the show has finished.

So all come along and enjoy yourselves, it’s your night on Saturday, and its just the beginning of voyage we’ve all been waiting for a long time.

The Journey enters the UK top 40!

Champagne corks are popping at Amsterdam HQ following this afternoon’s announcement that The Journey entered the official UK single charts at number 32 and the indie singles chart at number 8.

The band would like to say a massive thank you to everybody that bought the single and to the fans that are turning out on force on the current UK tour. The journey really can begin now for Amsterdam!

The Journey is out today!

After what seems like the longest wait in recording history Amsterdam finally release their debut single The Journey today, Monday 24 January.

The song is a split-single with Beat Crazy label mates Ricky and is available in three formats: 7” vinyl, CD1, CD/DVD2. The DVD contains an hilarious drunken interview with the boys.

The boys will be performing a short acoustic set and signing copies of the single at the HMV on the Cheshire Oaks complex in Ellesmere Port at 5:00pm on release day.
